This book presents a collection of works by David Hamilton, a photographer known primarily for his nude studies of young women.

约翰·本杰明·鲍威尔（John B．Powell，1888-1947），著名记者、报人，美国“密苏里新闻帮”远东采访报道的先驱。1917年，鲍威尔初次来到中国上海，从此与中国结下25年之缘。他先是就职于《密勒氏评论报》，五年后成为报社老板兼主编。1936年，该报刊登了埃德加·斯诺的采访及多幅照片，首次公开发表了毛泽东的身世和言论，在海内外产生强烈反响。1937年抗战全面爆发后，鲍威尔作为记者，经常披露日军的侵略阴谋与罪行，多次遭到打击报复。1941年太平洋战争爆发后，他被日军关入集中营，遭受非人虐待，双足致残。1942年，美国政府通过交换战俘将他解救回国。1947年，他在华盛顿猝然离世，终年59岁。他在逝世前完成了这本在华回忆录——《我在中国的二十五年》。 刘志俊，甘肃人，武汉理工大学毕业，2007年起从事编辑出版工作，现为自由撰稿人。

Eckart Förster (born 12 January 1952 in Bremen) currently teaches at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and the Humboldt University in Berlin.
